Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR)

$930.00

Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) or Georadar is a subsurface tracking tool with radio waves, both used for shallow exploration with very high accuracy (resolution) so that it can detect subsurface targets up to centimeter size targets, GPR is a relatively new exploration technique compared to other methods. GPR can be used in several fields such as geology, earth exploration, archaeology, forensic science, construction and engineering and environmental fields.

The advantages of GPR/georadar compared to other geophysical methods are cheaper operational costs, very high resolution because it uses high frequencies (broadband or wideband), fairly easy operation and is a non-destructive method so it is safe to use. while the weaknesses of GPR are that it cannot penetrate / detect as deep as sound waves (currently the maximum depth is 100 meters), general GPR antennas are only for certain pulse durations.
