This geoelectric instrument is designed for portable measurements with a current penetration depth of 100m to 400m. In G-Sound there is no need for complicated SP adjustments, through the adjusting button the SP value is corrected automatically. This is very helpful for inexperienced tool operators. Weighing about 1 kg makes the work of acquiring resistivity profiling or sounding data lighter. The Curent Source technology (current generator) found in G-Sound makes it a reliable, secure anti short circuit system, where short circuit conditions often occur when the AB (current) spacing is too close or in low-impedance layers. With a multimeter impedance of 10 MOhms and a resolution of 12 bits, the measurement of voltage and current values is very precise and accurate
The technology applied to each geoelectric instrument with current sources and anti short circuit systems can be utilized to make measurements on a laboratory scale, for example measuring the resistance of soil media (soil box), rocks (core samples) and mud.
